David Chalmers & Eleanor Rylance at Pride in Plymouth 11/08/18

Saturday 11th August was cold, windy and rainy in Plymouth but nothing could dampen the enthusiasm of the marchers of Pride in Plymouth, including a number of Liberal Democrats from Plymouth and around the South West.

Caroline Voaden, David Chalmers and Eleanor Rylance, along with Archie the Liberal Demadogue were among LibDems prepared to get soaked to the bones for the LibDem cause. Pride is always a fantastic, upbeat event, attended by many young people, and our little stall was mobbed by young people congratulating us for fighting for the pro-EU cause, and defending liberal values of tolerance and acceptance.

We may have got more soaked than we could have thought possible, and had to repair to a local hostelry to dry out (local hostelry was displaying some lovely rainbow flags) but we had many positive conversations and several people asked to join the party, so we came away very cheered.
